Audit trainee is the person who is getting training and education under the supervision of main auditor. Actually, audit training is not formal education like graduation and post graduation but by doing the work of auditor, this training is completed.
There are two ways, any person get this training.
1. Formal Way
You are doing CA. It is compulsory, you need to become audit trainee for specific time. In this time, auditor will pay low stipend and you have to satisfy in this. In this period, you have to learn some practical aspects of auditing.
2. Informal Way
Informal way is, when you are not doing CA. You are interested auditing practical which is not possible any academic school or college. So, you just go to any CA in your city. Request him. If CA will satisfy from your past qualification or any accounting experience(if you have any), he will keep you in his office as audit trainee. Now, it is on CA, how will he pay to you. Well, you will go to companies as the member of audit team. So, you when you will do practical work of audit, you will learn lots of as audit trainee.
