Accounting Education is a non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by educator Vinod Kumar to provide "a free, world-class accounting education for anyone, anywhere." Its website features thousands of educational resources, including a personalized learning dashboard, over 3,000 micro lectures via written tutorials and video tutorials stored on Dailymotion teaching accounting, accounting softwares, finance and taxation. All resources are available for free to anyone around the world. By 2014, they were used by about 5 Lakhs students per month. Accounting Education's micro lectures have been watched and read over 22 million times.
History
The founder of the organization, Vinod Kumar, was born and raised in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, India to a father and mother from India. He earned three degrees from the Punjabi University, HP University and NIIT (a B.Com, a M.Com and computer science).
In late 2008, Kumar was tutoring accounting his students at his Swami Vivekanand Institute. He got idea to provide similar help online to other students, he decided it would be more practical to distribute the tutorials on Accounting Education Website and Dailymotion. Their popularity there and the testimonials of appreciative students prompted Kumar to quit his offline institute in 2008, and focus on the tutorials (then released under "Accounting Education and Svtuition") full-time.
Vinod Kumar has stated that with the help of teachers, tutors and experts, in its Svtuition Youtube Channel and Svtuition Dailymotion Channel now has topics beyond just math, accounting, finance, computer science, and more.
Accounting Education also has resources translated into other languages. It launched the Hindi version of the website in June 2008. It is supported by partners and volunteers in languages including Tamil.

- As of Sept. 2014, More than 500 practical accounting, finance and educational problems have been solved. All are under Accounting Solution Section. These problems asked by accountants, students and other accounting professionals.
